PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

Piston pumps utilise a piston that moves in a reciprocating (back-and-forth) motion within a cylinder to create pressure and move fluid. The piston’s movement generates a pressure differential, causing fluid to flow into the cylinder during the suction stroke. The working fluid is forced to the discharge during the piston’s compression stroke. This process is repeated with each stroke, creating a continuous flow of fluid.
