PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
EBARA submersible pumps operate with a centrifugal pump working principle. A mechanical coupling at the bottom of the pump connects the pump shaft to the gas separator or protector. As the pump is primed, fluids enter through the intake screen and are lifted by the pump stages. Like any conventional centrifugal, the pump’s impeller rotates within the housing and reduces pressure at the inlet. This motion then drives fluid to the outside of the pump’s housing, which increases the pressure enough to send it out the discharge and onto the surface.
