Grundfos End Suction Close-Coupled Single Stage

Grundfos end-suction pumps are versatile and reliable solutions suitable for a variety of applications. These centrifugal pumps feature a direct connection between the motor and the pump, making them compact and easy to install. Each pump is designed with a single impeller, an axial suction port, and a radial discharge port, typically operating with a horizontal shaft. Common applications for these pumps include water supply, industrial processes, and HVAC systems. Pump dimensions adhere to either EN 733 standards or ISO 2858.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

A Grundfos end-suction close-coupled single-stage pump works by converting mechanical energy into hydraulic energy using centrifugal force. The impeller, which is driven by a motor, rotates and creates a low-pressure zone that draws liquid in from the suction side. As the liquid is forced outward, its velocity increases. This increase in velocity is then converted into pressure as the liquid flows into the volute casing.
