PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

In a centrifugal pump, the fluid enters the casing and falls at the impeller’s eye. The fluid is whirled tangentially and radially outward by the impeller blades, gaining velocity and pressure. It then falls into the diffuser part of the casing. This is how the pump can push out the fluid to a high-level head.
