The Problem
A client required a mobile pump solution that could empty bunds with potential contamination from various corrosive chemicals. They needed to control the pump's flow, and compressed air was unavailable at the site.
The Solution
All-Pumps set up a Graco QUANTM i80 polypropylene EODD pump on a steel trolley manufactured by our team at the workshop.
Project Highlights
The QUANTM i80 EODD Pump is a reliable pump for applications involving chemicals. Designed with a chemical-resistant polypropylene fluid section that provides high corrosion resistance, this groundbreaking electric pump is built to efficiently handle most chemicals as well as fluids with low to high pH materials.
Graco QUANTM EODD pumps also offer the following unique features:
- QUANTM Pumps cans dry and wet prime from a source several metres below the pump
- Can run dry without sustaining any damage
- In-built VFD for easy control of pump speed and flow
- Auto-stalls
- Leak-free operation without mechanical seals
- Easy to maintain with few wetted parts
- 1½" (38.1 mm) port and maximum flow rate of 300 litres per minute
- The powerful FluxCore 3-phase motor and drive provide eight times more continuous torque at low speeds than conventional motors
- Easy plug-and-play installation allows replacement of existing pumps without additional investment or infrastructure work
With these significant features, we were able to provide the client with a solution that meets their needs.
