Unlike other pumps, sine pumps don’t have an arduous fluid path and pulsation, enabling them to deliver constant volumetric displacement and minimise damage to shear-sensitive products. The SOMA Sine Pump Product Range

SOMA SINUS SODIAL® Pump – SCN Series

SOMA SINUS SODIAL® SCN pumps are positive displacement pumps working on a unique operating principle of a sine wave. Their design incorporates a sine curve-shaped rotor mounted on a shaft drive. A scraper divides the suction and discharge side of the pump to prevent backflow and equalise pressure. As the sinus rotor operates, it creates four chambers where the product is transferred gently without shear or damage. Wear is minimised in SCN pumps with the rotor not running against the housing or cover.

SOMA SINUS SODIAL® Pump – SCN-D Series

The SOMA SINUS SODIAL® SCN-D Series is the monoblock version of the SCN pumps, offering the same advantages. The SCN-D pumps are directly coupled with the drive, thus eliminating the need for a bearing block, coupling and complex baseplate. Available in various sizes, the SCN-D Series offers a maximum flow of 40000 litres per hour and a pressure of 10 bar. SOMA SCN-D pumps are 100% interchangeable with SCN pumps.

SOMA Pumps GmbH How It works

A sine curve-shaped rotor mounted as a disk (rotor) on a drive shaft gently and evenly transports the product through four equally divided chambers. A sealing slide separates the suction and pressure sides of the sinus pump. The SINUS rotor works in two separate stators made of special plastic so that the pump housing and cover are not subject to too much wear. This structural advantage enables a lifelong guarantee of the pump housing and cover.
