Blackmer’s S Series Twin Screw pumps are for transferring fluids free of solids or with minimal abrasiveness. These self-priming, double-ended positive displacement pumps work hard regardless of the pressure, temperature, or viscosity of the liquid they handle. Ideal for chemical processing, general industrial duties, and transport and marine markets, the S Series is also available in various configurations for special transfer applications.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

Blackmer Twin Screw Pumps are rotary, positive displacement pumps composed of two sets of opposed screws. These two counter-rotating screw rotors are engineered to rotate towards each other. This action traps the fluid between the screws of their rotors. As the screws turn, this trapped volume decreases, compressing the fluid and moving it towards the exhaust.
