MAINTENANCE REQUEST FORMS: PUMP REPAIR REQUEST FORM | PICKUP REQUEST FORM
Finish Thompson is an expert in the design and manufacture of highly reliable and heavy–duty drum pumps for any type of fluids from freshwater to solid-laden wastewater to viscous fluids, acids, bases, flammables, and so much more.
Each model underwent a rigorous process from computational fluid dynamics and design to manufacturing and testing using the latest production tools and materials. FTI drum pumps are engineered for the faster and smoother handling of fluids, enabling transfer in just a few minutes.
In general, FTI drum pumps consist of a motor section (air or electric driven), an immersion tube, and a pump section. The motor sits on top of the immersion tube, which is outside the container. The immersion tube fits through an opening on the top of the container. The pump section is located at the lower end of the immersion tube. The drum pump is driven from the top of the immersion tube, using an extended shaft. The pumped liquid flows between the sleeve and the tube to the discharge port at the motor end of the immersion tube. Depending on the viscosity of the fluid, barrel pumps come in single, double, or multiple impellers for low, medium, and heavy viscous fluids, respectively.
