MAINTENANCE REQUEST FORMS: PUMP REPAIR REQUEST FORM | PICKUP REQUEST FORM
The 3600 Series Pump was designed to provide consistently high performance in the harshest conditions so you can meet your production goals and keep your project moving. It is the industry standard for pumping fuel oils and gasoline and is also efficient at handling heavy, viscous materials.
Rugged, versatile, and dependable, Roper 3600 gear pumps operate smoothly with equal efficiency in either direction of rotation.

A gear pump creates flow by carrying fluid between the teeth of two meshed gears. One gear is driven by the drive shaft, which in turn drives the other gear. Pumping chambers are formed between the teeth and are enclosed by the pump housing and side plates.
A partial vacuum is created at the inlet of the pump as the teeth unmesh. Fluid starts to flow in at this point and fills the space/vacuum. The fluid is then carried around the outside of the gears. As the teeth mesh again at the outlet, the fluid is forced out.
