MAINTENANCE REQUEST FORMS: PUMP REPAIR REQUEST FORM | PICKUP REQUEST FORM
KGC is a trusted brand of industrial gear pumps for transporting different media in different industries. Their gear pumps boast reliable performance and rugged construction with cast iron and mild steel as main materials. KGC pumps are designed for handling different types of fluids including low viscosity liquids like alcohols, solvents or liquid gases, as well as medium and high viscosity liquids like polymer melts, gum-base or rubber.
These gear pumps are also used for pressure boosting, liquid transfer, process pumping and lubrication duties.

KGC Gear pumps use rotating cogs or gears to move fluids from the inlet to the discharge side. Pumping begins when fluid enters through the inlet port and passes through the rotating gears. As the gears come out of mesh on the inlet side of the pump, an expanded volume is formed. Liquid flows into the cavities and is trapped by the gear teeth as the gears continue to rotate against the pump casing. The trapped fluid then moves from the inlet to the discharge. As the teeth of the gears become interlocked on the discharge side of the pump, the volume is reduced, and the fluid is forced out of the pump under pressure.
