Ampco Pumps is an American manufacturer of sanitary positive displacement pumps, sanitary centrifugal pumps, and marine/industrial pumps. It is a spinoff company of Ampco Metal, a company launched in 1914, which specializes in the production of aluminium bronze alloys. Expanding into the pumps market brought about tremendous growth and expansions, and for more than 70 years now, Ampco Pumps has been one of the most preferred pump providers across various industries.
Ampco Pumps have taken on the re-manufacturing of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) Pumps and now provide competitive high-quality parts to suit Waukesha and Wright-flow Pumps. They hold large stocks through the range of sizes and pride themselves on the materials and quality of the product being equivalent to genuine brands and will outlast other low price non-genuine spare parts.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
A pair of winged pistons rotate in the pump casing around the circumference of the channel. As the rotation continues and as the pistons unmesh, a partial vacuum is created at the suction port. This causes the fluid to enter the pump. The rotation of the rotors transports the fluid around the channel. As the pistons re-mesh, they generate pressure, thus displacing the liquid at the discharge port. The direction of flow in a circumferential piston pump is reversible.
