Ebara’s 3 Series

Ebara’s 3 Series comprises stainless steel pumps that feature a unique onepiece volute casing engineered using the latest computercontrolled plasma stamping system, ensuring total quality control during manufacture. Along with the smooth surfaces of the casing, the 3S pumps consistently deliver superior quality products and offer high efficiency. These Ebara pumps are standardized according to EN 733 and are realized in different structural shapes for greater versatility in most industrial applications.

PUMP

Principle of Operation

The Ebara centrifugal pumps follow the standard centrifugal principle. Two main parts are responsible for the conversion of energy: the impeller and the casing. The impeller rotates the fluid while the casing is the airtight passage that surrounds the impeller. To work, the fluid enters into the casing, falls on the impeller blades at the eye of the impeller, and is whirled tangentially and radially outward until it leaves the impeller into the diffuser part of the casing. The fluid gains both velocity and pressure while it passes through the impeller which is mechanized by the motor. This is how the pump can push out the fluid to a high-level head.
