MAINTENANCE REQUEST FORMS: PUMP REPAIR REQUEST FORM | PICKUP REQUEST FORM
Grundfos horizontal split case pumps are in-line pumps featuring a housing that is divided axially into two parts. These centrifugal pumps are known for their high efficiency, low noise levels, and ease of servicing.
Among their offerings, Grundfos provides the LS horizontal split case pumps, which are suitable for various applications, including public water supply, district cooling, and HVAC systems. The LS pumps come in both single-stage and two-stage configurations, and there is also a vertical mounting design available. These heavy-duty centrifugal volute pumps are non-self-priming, equipped with radial suction and discharge ports.
Grundfos horizontal split case pumps, like many centrifugal pumps, operate by rotating an impeller within a casing to move fluid. The blades of the impeller create a low-pressure area at the center, which draws fluid in from the suction side and forces it outward through centrifugal force. This process increases the fluid's velocity and pressure, directing it toward the pump outlet. In models with two stages, these pumps can generate higher pressures as the fluid passes through two impeller stages.
