RV Helicoidal Impeller Pump

The Inoxpa RV is a range of close-coupled centrifugal pumps fitted with a helicoidal impeller. They boast high efficiencies going over 70 per cent, veryhigh considering their semi open impeller. The pumps incorporate a compact design, high capacity, low shear and gentle action, making them perfect for food & beverage applications.

They are commonly used as a wine or beerwort pump, but are also suited for passing large soft solids.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

An RV pump follows the operation of a standard centrifugal pump where flow is created due to the kinetic energy imparted by the impeller vane and the pressure at the discharge. However, unlike a regular centrifugal pump, the helicoidal shape of an RV pump’s impeller and its optimised flow prevent clogging, allowing solid particles to pass through without difficulties preventing damage to both the pump and product.
