PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

Self-priming centrifugal pumps should evacuate air out of the system to stay primed and ready to run. This eliminates the priming stage – the first stage in operating standard centrifugal pumps – making them more energy efficient. The centrifugal force coming from the rotating impeller creates an airtight seal that draws the air toward the discharge port. This continuous phenomenon causes the suction of liquid and the start of the pumping process.
