Borehole pumps are trusted and proven workhorses found in industrial environments around the world. These pumps are designed to handle challenging applications and are continuously improving operations in key global industries. The range of borehole pumps by Southern Cross is available in two series: Everflow 6-10” and SC 4-6”. They are equipped with a strainer at the inlet to protect the pump from large-sized solids that they cannot handle, therefore extending their life. And with hydraulically and dynamically balanced impellers, the Southern Cross borehole pumps are strong solutions with reliable performance and high efficiency.

PUMP
Principle of Operation
Borehole pumps are a type of submersible centrifugal pump of multistage design which can be submerged at large depths. They work by a motor driving a shaft which in turn drives either one or several impellers. The motor is located at the bottom of the pump, with the pump located above the motor. The pump intake is in the middle of the unit, with the discharge at the top contrary to all other pump designs.
