Trillium Roto-Jet® High-Pressure Pitot Tube Pumps

The Roto-Jet® high-pressure pitot tube pump is a single-stage centrifugal pump with advanced pitot tube technology. The pitot tube is a variation added to the traditional centrifugal pump, allowing it to achieve higher pressures without adding multiple stages. It features a unique operating principle where the casing rotates instead of the impeller. It uses the fixed pitot tube pump within the casing to pressurise the working fluid.

Roto-Jet® is designed for low-flow, high-head applications. It has a curve similar to that of a regular centrifugal pump, but unlike it, Roto-Jet® can operate reliably at any point on the curve. It will also not seize if run dry by a loss of suction or when working with minimal continuous bypass flow against a closed discharge valve.

OUR RANGE OF AVAILABLE TRILLIUM ROTO-JET® HIGH-PRESSURE PITOT TUBE PUMPS

The operating characteristics of the Roto-Jet® pump are straightforward and similar to a conventional centrifugal pump. Energy is added to the fluid via the rotor, and the stationary pitot tube converts the fluid velocity energy into static pressure.

The liquid enters the pitot tube openings at the periphery of the rotating rotor. This is where the velocity is the greatest. As the fluid enters the pitot tube, much of its kinetic energy is converted into pressure energy by the internal shape of the pitot tube. Using this operating principle, relatively high pressures can be obtained in a single-stage process. The pump generates a pulsation-free flow and has a stable NPSHr curve.
