The Problem
A mine site in Northern Australia sought assistance from All-Pumps to boost the pressure of harsh, raw water for their ore processing.
The Solution
We provided the client with several specialised multistage pumps long coupled with mine-spec WEG motors to meet their high volume and high-pressure water requirements—all delivered before schedule for their process upgrade.
Project Highlights
Effective water supply is crucial in the mineral processing phase of a mining operation. With water sources typically located at a distance from mine sites, high-pressure pumps are often needed for efficient and fast water transfer.
After a thorough pump selection process, which involved considering the application and site condition requirements, All-Pumps proposed using Nexus PMST80/8A horizontal multistage pumps coupled with IE3 160kW WEG W22 mine-spec motors. The 2-pole motors were rated IP66 and epoxy-coated for optimum protection against harsh mining conditions. For ease of installation and to ensure stability, the pump and motor assemblies were mounted on custom baseframes made of 316 stainless steel.
