Pump Type

We primarily use centrifugal pumps in our fire pump solutions due to their high flow rate capability.  

We also recommend gear pumps for high-pressure applications in:

Foam concentrate systems: Rotary gear pumps are used to handle foam concentrate in high-pressure and high-hazard applications. 

Fire trucks: Gear pumps are used in fire trucks for high-flow rate applications. 

Deluge systems: Gear pumps are used in deluge systems for high-flow rate applications.

We design on board fire pump systems powered by petrol or diesel engines.

Capacity

We customise fire pump packages, measured in litres per minute, ranging from small emergency response units for municipal
use to large-capacity systems for industrial sites such as refineries and power plants.

Regulations

Fire pump design and performance are typically regulated by Australian Standard AS 2941:2013. We also offer fire pumps and packages with UL/FM certification as an option.
