ARBO Magnetically Driven Pumps

The ARBO magnetically driven pumps are known for their high quality, reliability and durability. They are ideal for the transport and circulation of clean chemicals and other corrosive liquids. These pumps do not have a shaft seal – a common wear part in other pump types. The pumps are fitted with a closed impeller (only the smallest type has an open impeller), offering optimum efficiency.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

Mag-drive pumps or magnetic drive pumps are practically centrifugal pumps driven by a motor through magnetic coupling instead of a mechanical shaft. The pump works via a drive magnet that eliminates any shaft sealing required by the pump. Then the pumping action is the same as the conventional centrifugal pump, where fluid is moved from suction to discharge through centrifugal force.

Mag-drive pumps are sealless pumps, which is a great advantage as this design eliminates the risks of leaks. This makes mag-drive pumps perfect for pumping hazardous fluids that should not leak into the environment and ultra-pure liquids and hard-to-seal products.
