Blacoh Sentry™ Inlet Stabilisers are protective devices installed at the inlet of air-operated diaphragm pumps. They are engineered to balance the load on the diaphragm by accumulating fluid during suction and smoothing out pressure spikes. This ensures a consistent flow and pressure as the fluid enters the pump. By reducing strain on the diaphragm, these stabilisers significantly enhance the pump’s efficiency and extend its diaphragm life.

How it works

As the inlet ball valves close in an AODD pump, the fluid flow stops abruptly, causing a pressure spike known as "water hammer." The inlet stabiliser absorbs this pressure spike along with the accompanying surge of liquid. By maintaining consistent suction pressure and flow, the inlet stabiliser helps ensure the pump operates at peak performance.
