WHAT ARE MICROBUBBLES?

Microbubbles are bubbles smaller than one millimetre in diameter, but larger than one micrometre. They have a widespread applications in industry, life-science, and medicine.

KTM Pumps generate microbubbles / nanobubbles with an average diameter of 5 µm, much smaller and more densely packed than conventional systems. This allows a higher amount of air to be dissolved into the water flow using smaller pumps. Power consumption has been recorded as low as 1/3rd of the power consumption of conventional pumps: a dramatic reduction in running cost and CO2 output.

Simplified Control
Only three simple control points are required for the initial setup: discharge pressure, suction pressure, and airflow. After the initial setup, the system can be turned on and off producing consistent microbubbles without the need to adjust every time. By eliminating difficult water levels and pressure balances skilled staff can be dedicated to more important roles.
