What are Microbubbles?
Microbubbles are bubbles smaller than one millimetre in diameter, but larger than one micrometre. They have widespread application in industry, life-science, and medicine.
- Removing impurities form waste water
- Recycling high grade paper fibre
- Food, crystal, and chemical removal
- Removing sediments, sludge, and algae
- And many more
Easy Installation and Retrofit
The KTM based system is simple to install saving on installation time and costs. Current systems can easily be retrofitted with the KTM pump and gain the benefits of Nikuni’s microbubbles without the need for changing tanks or other components.

Maximum Performance Minimal Energy
KTM Pumps generate microbubbles / nanobubbles with an average diameter of 5 µm, much smaller and more densely packed than conventional systems. This allows a higher amount of air to be dissolved into the water flow using smaller pumps. Power consumption has been recorded as low as 1/3rd of the power consumption of conventional pumps: a dramatic reduction in running cost and CO2 output.
Only three simple control points are required for the initial setup: discharge pressure, suction pressure, and air flow. After initial setup the system can be turned on and off producing consistent microbubbles without the need to adjust every time. By eliminating difficult water level and pressure balances skilled staff can be dedicated to more important roles.
Nikuni Product Features
Immediately save on capital cost and plant space by eliminating the need for:
- Air compressors
- Large dissolving tanks
- Frustrating tank level control
- In-line static mixers
- And replace large centrifugal pumps with the smaller KRM microbubble pump
Nikuni DAF systems require only 1/5th of the space of most conventional DAF systems. The TKM Series pumps suction in air at atmospheric pressure and do not require static mixing device or long holding period under pressure like conventional systems.
Established in 1946, NIKUNI has been engaged in designing and manufacturing various industrial pumps and pump installations, semi-conductor production systems, semi-conductor test devices and optical devices. For nearly seventy years up to now, NIKUNI has been serving the Japanese, USA, European and Asia industries with high-quality products. All Pumps has these pumps and parts in stock and is ready to help with your requirements today.
