Problem
With the successful delivery of a previous project, our client requested All Pumps to supply the remaining pressure booster systems for the mining village. This time the requirement was for:
- a custom-built triplex pump system for the water treatment plant,
- a custom-built raw water supply pump system,
- and an irrigation booster pump system.
Solution
The project involved design selection of pumps, the design of electrical control panel, the design of pipework, factory acceptance, testing and delivery. The project had to be delivered within a fairly quick timeline. The triplex pump system included three (3) Grundfos CR pumps with individual DOL control boxes and one (1) multi-pump controller built to the mine specifications. It also included design and fabrication of 3.0m long 316SS suction and discharge manifold.
The Raw water pump system included one Grundfos CR pump working with a DOL control panel complete with 316SS pipework and valves. The irrigation pump system was similar to the Raw water pump system with the exception that the pump worked on a VASCO VSD which was included in the custom built control panel. All control panels enclosed were stainless steel and were rated to IP56 with voltage and phase indicators. All suction and discharge pipework were fabricated to AS4041 requirements.
