Principle of Operation

Hose pumps, also known as peristaltic pumps, typically create vacuum pockets at the discharge during operation. This, combined with the pump's pulsing action, makes it challenging to stabilise the discharge flow and leads to pressure fluctuations. The SurgeShield features a dampening element that expands and contracts to absorb pressure spikes, ensuring a nearly steady flow rate.
